The Bahamas
The Bahamas is my home away from home, no really...it is! And I will soon have dual residency so that I don't have to book a return ticket every time, but that's a different story!! I'm in the Bahamas A LOT...So look for frequent posts from here!
Prior to meeting my husband, I had been to Nassau, Bahamas 3 times and was sick of it! Now that I have a home there, I feel like people who are traveling to Nassau and stay their entire trip at Paradise Island, are really missing out!
Here is what it is like to really be living that Bahamas life!

Shark Diving
A lot of people ask me the same question, "Are there sharks in The Bahamas?" Yes! There are plenty of sharks! Trust me, you have nothing to worry about. As a child, I, like many Cali children, grew up watching shark week. How could I not? Well, that show, like many, scared the crap out of me! Since then, my shark fear has somewhat subsided.
In the Bahamas, weather you are snorkeling, boating or diving, you are bound to see a shark. I did a few dives, including a shark dive, at the most amazing dive shop in the world (also seen on shark week), Stuarts Cove. If you are a diver or want to snorkle, I highly recommend checking these guys out.
Pigs can't fly, but they can swim!

If you're going to The Bahamas, you have to check out the swimming pigs! They are located in the Exumas, about 2 hours from Nassau (depending on the boat you take). Make sure you bring food and water because these guys are always hungry. This is one of my favorite excursions because as soon as the pigs hear your boat, they all come out of the bushes and start swimming to you. They are for the most part, friendly, however I have heard of people getting fingers bit off. Although they are used to people, remember they are feral. Email me for more info!
Every golfers dream!
Albany Golf Course, Bahamas
I wouldn't call myself a golf expert but I have been to my fair share of courses and I would say that the Albany golf course is every golfers dream! First of all, it was designed by the one and only Tiger Woods himself. Secondly, it is located inside the exclusive Albany Resort which is accessible to members or visiting guests, all of which pay a pretty penny. Don't be surprised to be practicing at the range next to Justin Rose or even Justin Timberlake. The course is extremely private and almost always empty. This golf course is first class all the way.
